Hey all. greetings from Jamaica at the annual Real Psychic Convention.

I know, tough job, but I figure I am currently in seventh place in the Beat the Zuke contest. My physic powers need a tuneup, so I've taken a week off from your abuse so that I can make a stretch run and once again win the contest.

It's pretty cool here. There's all kinds of seminars that I plan on attending.

The first one is "How to use your psychic abilities to dominate your fantasy football league."

Can't miss that one.

Here's one that I'd like to attend but it is at 11 a.m. -- don't know if I will be up in time. It's called "I know who will win the Heisman Trophy."

If I attend, should I tell Max Hall the results?

And finally, I thought I would go to this one if there's food.

"How to beat the NFL point spread."

If that goes well, I'm not coming back.

While I'm gone, I've decided to hand over the contest to Mighty Eide. Why pick Andrew Eide when there are so many other suitable guest hosts, guys like Paul "On the Mark" Clark, the Great Drew Davis and Ryan Hall-of-Fame.

Well, for one thing, Might Eide is, well, he's a rookie. He's a novice. If you can't beat him, you should retire.

I will be back next week to make my annual stretch run and win the contest -- again.

Now give it up for Mighty Eide.

Hello Utah Valley! This is Andrew "Mighty" Eide, filling in for the Zuke. As the Zuke said, I am a former football player for Timpanogos High School and am now playing for Southern Utah this year.

A couple of key points I will point out that the Zuke has misinformed you on: I don't THINK I know football, I KNOW I know football.

Also, he said that I'm 6-foot-3 and weigh 235 pounds, when he was a full two inches short and 15 pounds light on his guess, but he was judging that on my lack of ability to hit a home run during P.E. softball, so it's cool Zuke.

Last but not least, with the Zuke gone, he said there would be more chances to win. False! Could it be the reason he left to Jamaica was that he was scared to face Jeff Gassman during his NABA men's baseball championship game? Or that I am going to take his job and he needed to relax a little bit and come up with some new writing material. I like to think both answers are correct.

Enough of that ... time for this week's picks.

WEST JORDAN AT PLEASANT GROVE

The Jaguars are off to one of their best starts ever at an undefeated record of 4-0, and these are no ordinary cupcake wins.

With scores like 55-6 and 42-14, they are a team to be feared by averaging an impressive 48 points a game. The majority of those points coming from dual-threat QB Adam Boelter.

On the Vikings part, you have to be pretty darn good to beat Timpview.

Not to mention snapping Timpview's mind boggling 36-game win streak. No biggie, right?

Pleasant Grove and their plethera of D-1 commits will be too much to handle for the Jaguars. I see a strong connection of Stanford-bound Dalls Lloyd to Jason Fanaika throughout the game. PG will show why it is a top contender for the 5A title this.

• Pleasant Grove 35, West Jordan 21

JUAB AT ALA

For this showdown in the south, both teams come in with the record of 2-2.

Toni Pulu for the Eagles has been a stud on the defense, averaging eight tackles a game, and has been a weapon on special teams and will give ALA the upper hand the whole game.

ALA has scored a minimum of 21 points a game even against tougher, larger opponents while Juab has struggled to score in a few of their contests.

Which team will come out with the winning record?

• ALA 28, Juab 14

CLEARFIELD AT LEHI

Great news for Pioneer fans, Lehi is actually capable of scoring a touchdown! Wait, not only one touchdown but 4 TDs! What a relief ...

Now that the Pioneers got that pesky touchdown problem out of the way, let's see if Lehi can avoid giving up more than 40 points every game.

The Clearfield little-worse-than-average defense looks too tempting for me to pass on. I'm gonna have to go with the Falcons on this one.

• Clearfield 35, Lehi 10

LONE PEAK AT HILLCREST

With Lone Peak newbie Kyson Flake becoming an offensive weapon, the Knights have become a solid scoring team, especially against a very tough Brighton team which was running a three-game shutout streak before last week.

Hillcrest was looking like a worthy opponent for the Knights, until being thrashed by Pleasant Grove 48-10 a week ago. Tisk, tisk ...

I have doubted Lone Peak in all of my picks this season. But alright alright ... I'll give in. Make me look good on this one.

• Lone Peak 28, Hillcrest 7

AMERICAN FORK AT JORDAN

Ah, yes, finally ... a close game.

American Fork and its hot start on offense was crumpled by Bingham last week. Will A.F. seek redemption?

The real question is who is the bigger offensive superstar, Cade Zarbock or Jordan's passing phenom Alex Hart?

I don't see much defense being played in this one.

• Jordan 42, AF 31

OREM AT TIMPVIEW

Before Orem's first win vs. Raymond, Canada, last week, the Tigers looked like they couldn't beat a 5A JV team.

But with that first win under the belt, can Brayden "Birdman" Hill and Keenan Karrati rally the Tigers to beat the T'Birds, eh?

Pssshhh ...

• Timpview 42, Orem 3

MOUNTAIN VIEW AT WESTLAKE

Yes, I do like the Bruins' USC tribute uniforms, but right now they're not representing the Trojans very well.

I have been pulling for the Thunder all season long. They are a brand new school and have been playing tough against some good teams. Sophomore QB John "The Flyin' Hawaiian" Ursua continues to put up impressive numbers every game on the ground and through the air.

Unless James Emerson turns into Joe McKnight, I like Westlake to come out with the W.

• Westlake 28, Mountain View 24

TIMPANOGOS AT PROVO

It has been three days since the Timpanogos vs Lehi game, and I still can't fathom the fact that my T'Wolves let Lehi score 33 points last Friday. Ugh.

The Timberwolves have been consistent on offense this season both rushing and passing. The ground game is led by the bruising Parker "so dope" Almeida. QB duo Brooks Fowler and Damian Rivers can both run the ball, pass and even catch the touchdowns, which could leave the Bulldogs guessing the whole game.

White Tornado warning tonight! J.D. Ashman continues to score on offense and special teams with his herculean effort and dazzling speed. Watch out for No. 5.

Provo and its high-scoring offense are carried by the Unufe brothers who have been a force all season long and will put on a clinic tonight if Timpanogos doesn't improve from last week's defensive effort.

My fellow T'Wolves, post this on your locker room walls, hate me for this, get pumped about it, and use this as motivation. I'm only doing this because I love you.

• Provo 35, Timpanagos 21

SPRINGVILLE AT PAYSON

Coach Scott Mitchell has worked wonders for the Red Devils since he took over and Springville is a serious contender in Region 8 this year. Sure, the Springville offense only put up six points last year against a really good Juan Diego squad, but "what don't kill ya make ya mo' strong" and I'm lookin for a bounce back this week.

The main thing I remember about playing Payson back in the day is that they always had the best mustaches, but I was only a freshmen back then. Sorry Lions fans, I can't take a team seriously that has "Sweet Home Alabama" on its pump-up CD.

• Springville 27, Payson 10

SALEM HILLS AT MAPLE MOUNTAIN

Salem Hills is off to a better-than-the-record-shows start with two wins and two losses, both losses in close games decided by six points or less.

I'm looking for Josh Adams to have an Orem-esque game against the Eagles.

I don't see much luck for Maple Mountain.

• Salem Hills 48, Maple Mountain 13

SPANISH FORK AT UINTAH

The Dons seem unphased from losing a majority of their offensive starters from last year, posting 48-plus points in three of their games this year.

Spanish Fork is off to a surprisingly hot start this season, led by QB Hayden Nielson and WR Travis Still.

Ute fans are probably saying, "We can run up the score, too!" Yes, true, but Spanish Fork will show how it differs from Carbon and Union High.

• Spanish Fork 54, Uintah 20
