A group of us from the Young at Heart Senior Citizens of Eureka loaded up on our senior's bus on the 13th of October, and headed for Delta to have lunch with the West Millard Seniors at there Senior Citizens Center. We enjoyed a great lunch that they had prepared and served us, we then had some great conversations with them about people that they know in each others communities, and memory's about what they use to do in the others city's. The stories told brought laughs and smiles of the memories forgotten of long ago. After bidding each other goodbye, we headed for the Great Basin Museum that is located in Delta. The Museum has many historical items and stories of the past in the area, about the people and what they did. Many of us had no idea or knowledge of things or events that had happened in Millard County.

We came away with new memories and best of all, new friends that we made in the wonderful city of Delta Utah. And to make a great trip even better, we stopped in at the cheese factory just north of Delta and got some of there great products. The bus ride home to Eureka was filled with talk of the wonderful day that it had turned out to be. We were tired but sorry that such a great day with so many new memories had ended.

I do not believe that sheer suffering teaches. If suffering alone taught, all the world would be wise, since everyone suffers. To suffering must be added mourning, understanding, patience, love, openness and the willingness to remain vulnerable. - Anne Morrow Lindbergh
