The American Fork Rotary Club will sponsor a Meet the Candidates Night prior to the American Fork City Primary Election. It will be Thursday (Sept. 3) at 7 p.m. at Barratt Elementary School, 168 N. 900 East, American Fork. The primary election is scheduled for Sept. 15.

Three mayoral candidates and nine candidates vying for two seats on the City Council have been invited to attend. The primary election will narrow the field to two candidates for mayor and four for the council.

Each candidate or designated representative will have up to five minutes to make an introduction, explain qualifications or address their campaign platform planks.

After the last presentation, candidates will be available to meet and greet the voters for 30-45 minutes. They will also have literature available before and after the presentation.
