On September 11-13, 2009 Jerry and Jody Carlson and their children attended the Utah Trappers Associations annual convention in Nephi, Utah.

On Friday night they had a hamburger fry and a country band play for the group. On Saturday the Association presented trapping demonstrations as well as vendors selling various trapping equipment. For the ladies that didn't want to participate in the demonstrations they had a craft center.

Saturday night was an awards banquet and live auction. To Jerry's surprise the President of the Utah Trappers Association, Kevin Peacock presented Jerry with the Presidents Award for all the help he has given to the Association over the past year.

Jody was also presented a plaque for first place in the women's shotgun shoot. During the month of June, the Association holds an annual campout where they have shooting contests for the young and young at heart.

Sunday they held more demonstrations and a raffle.
