Students at Mapleton Elementary watch in excitement as BYU quarterback Max Hall arrives in a helicopter to speak to students and take part in activities during Red Ribbon Week on Tuesday.
"It was a blast. It was my first time in a helicopter so it was a lot of fun," Hall said about his ride to the school and his exciting entrance. Moving inside to a packed gymnasium, the guest of honor took part in a high-energy race against teachers with various challenges including math problems and hula hooping. Hall then took time to speak to the crowd of students, encouraging them to meet their three Red Ribbon Week goals: honor authority, respect others and say no to drugs. He also answered a variety of questions. "I remember being a kid and when my school did stuff like this and the impact it had on me," Hall said.
