On Nov. 17, Highland City Council voted 4-0 to approve the sale of three parcels of surplus real property. Two properties on 4800 West were purchased in 2007 to obtain a right of way for the road widening project. The third parcel is a strip of land east of the fire station and Power Company. Councilman Brian Brunson abstained from voting because he is the real estate representative for the properties.
