Alpine Elementary School has been working with the UDOT Safe Routes 2 School Program to encourage more students to walk or bike to school on a regular basis. More than 500 students at Alpine Elementary live within walking distance of the school. More than half of these students are walking or biking to school on a regular basis. To help keep students safe, Alpine has designated safe routes for them to use as they walk and bike to school. This year, these routes will be marked with the Utah SR2S sign. If you see this sign while driving around Alpine, please be aware of the school children who may be using this route.
